DIWALI CELEBRATION
(PRIMARY WING)
“May the light of diyas lead us onto the road of growth and
prosperity.”
A Special Assembly on Diwali was held by the students of
Sarojini Naidu House (Primary Wing) on October 18, 2022. The assembly commenced
with the Gayatri Mantra and chanting of Shlokas by the choir to invoke the
blessings of the Almighty.
The melodious rendition of 'Chaupais' from Ramayana filled
the atmosphere with divinity. The Radio Jockey Show that followed next had the
students emphasizing on the need to celebrate a peaceful and green Diwali to
protect the Earth from excessive noise and pollution.
The assembly came to a close with the presentation of a
spectacular Dance Drama in which students depicted Lord Rama's return to
Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravana in a battle. The entire presentation was a
fine composition of dance, drama, and music, aesthetically showcasing Indian
traditions and values.
Speaking on the occasion, Madam Arpita Acharya emphasized the
need of celebrating a peaceful and green Diwali. Ms. Meenakshi Malhotra,
Primary Wing Leader applauded the efforts of the students and wished them and
their families a happy and safe Diwali.
