RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

Our days are full of life,

And nights are blessed with peace,

Our festivals are full of jollity,

And our happiness has that soulful satisfaction,

And it is all because of the soldiers

Who are out there on the borders protecting our lives.

As an act of salutation and respect to the armed forces of our country, Raksha Bandhan……..A festival of threads, a day of celebrating fraternal ties, symbolizing the trust and affection that a brother and sister share was uniquely celebrated by the school.

To make the occasion momentous, our students went to BSF Camp, Chhawla, Nazafgarh, Delhi on August 10, 2022 to tie rakhis to the valiant soldiers fighting hard to keep us safe and sound. They also handed over ‘Letters of Thanks’ written by them and their peers as a token of gratitude to the unfathomed support and commitment of our army . This was an honest endeavour of the students to salute the commitment of these patriots.

The initiative to celebrate the festival of love and bond was undertaken by Sunhera Bhavishya (NGO) to mark solidarity with the soldiers deployed far away from their families. The Blue Bellians presented a spectacular cultural programme which was heartily lauded by all.

The soldiers shared their experiences of tough and challenging Army life. The students wished them health and happiness and prayed for their success in their mission to protect the motherland. One of the BSF soldiers shared,” They are always there for the security, happiness, and prosperity of the nation in the same way in which a brother sacrifices himself for the happiness of his sister.” On behalf of BSF, he thanked the school for this sensitive and emotional gesture.
